Now stocking Gazelle..

Filed under: Events — nicholasb @ 1:49 pm

We’ve got some cool new bikes in the shop – something that we’ve been waiting to see for a long time.

Gazelle are one of the oldest bike manufacturers in Holland, and concentrate on designing and producing the kind of bikes that we love – comfortable, practical well integrated city transport bikes, kitted out with racks, mudguards, comfortable handlebars and chain-cases. We’re really impressed with what we’ve seen.

Gazelle has the details of the models that are available in Australia.

We’ve got three Gazelles in stock at the moment, with different handlebar and drive train configurations. All of the bikes come with a full kit of accessories, super-cool adjustable bars, lights, racks and mudguards.

The Medeo Plus

The Orange Lite City

and the Fuente Plus

Big Dummy

Filed under: Events — nicholasb @ 1:26 pm

One of these is a super heavy duty urban transport load carrying machine.. The other is a SUV..

We had the pleasure of building up our first Surly Big Dummy recently. It’s a new frame from Surly that’s built to work with the Xtracycle long-tail cargobike set up. Alex went for a Rohloff to give him the gear range to haul all the cargo that an Xtracycle can carry, a Brooks B17 and a Bobike Maxi child seat.

Have a look at all the photos here.

Well, the cheeky picnic was a very chilled out arvo down at pyrmont park and we just wanted to say thanks to all who made it. Thanks to the ruby murray’s diner as well, food was great as usual.

Well done to all the organisers of the the bff related events as well, michele and the gang put a heap of work in to organise them all.

To all those who missed it here are some pics (care of sam)and you’ll just have to wait until next year. the bike blender cocktails get seriously strong when brian and marcelo get on the bar but it was an awesome afternoon with a very competitive game of soccer for some and a lot of lazing around for others. safe riding!

more great images at sydney cyclist. cool site to check out anyway.
