Cetma Racks!

Filed under: Events — nicholasb @ 10:56 am

Second in our cavalcade of cool new stuff.. One of my (Nick’s) all time favourite bicycle accessories – We’re now stocking CETMAs (5 Rail and 3 Rail)..

To explain how useful they are in terms that anyone can understand, here’s a photo of my shopping bike…

They bracket onto your bars and are supported by struts that run down to your axle nut or quick release. For heavy loads, I’d suggest wider bars than are illustrated below – you need the leverage to control the weight.

Check out Ad below with his nice rack..

The rack design is based on the front carriers used by Parisian bicycle couriers in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.. Check ’em out..

All your questions about the Cetma answered here, or come in and talk to me.

  1. i have one of the older models of cetma racks – the 6 rail, solid steel, spray painted. had it for ages on the surly 1×1.

great rack for carrying large objects in particular!

i understand that they are now powdercoated and use hollow tubing to save weight, which is cool!

If a Big Dummy is out of your league, do what I did and convert your boring, dust-gathering, fixie into a grocery getter of epic proportions.. […]

  8. Just get them from someone who has them in stock. Lane at Cetma may make promises but he doesn’t deliver. 7 months and counting since I order one from him.
