New 8spd Hub City Bike – Merida i8

Filed under: commuting, New products — nicholasb @ 4:03 pm

It’s no secret that we’re big fans of internally geared bikes – they’re clean, easy to use, low maintenance and look cool. Come in and check out the Merida i8. It’s a flat bar road bike that would make a great fast commuter, with the Shimano Nexus 8 hub and front and rear roller brakes all for $1100..

  2. Unfortunately we don’t do trade ins – give your old bike to someone who doesn’t have one.. The bike we’ve got in the shop is a Large (57-59cm).. The distributor does have a Small in stock though..

  3. Anyone want to buy a 2006 Merida Crossway with mudguards and a wireless odometer?

  4. I took this Merida for a test ride – nice bike but i didn’t like the roller brakes. Instead i bought the Orbea Derio with the Nexus hub gears and it is awesome.
Love the instantaneous shifts and the lack of crunching noises. I’ve always found it difficult to say and spell ‘derailleur’ and hopefully will never have to again.
