critical mass this friday

Filed under: Events — schmadzie @ 11:51 am

We just had a headsup from the bike-cops.

Apparently Dick Cheney and Ray Hadley will be on the ride across the bridge this friday!

  1. What, we can ride across the bridge again? yipeeee

  4. I turned up…..only to find more police cyclists than critical mass riders. not only was the ride not across the bridge (website hadn’t been updated) but the police were rather frosty saying that any rider without full equipment would have an on the spot fine of 250 bucks (including having bells!)

disappointing…not the ride i was hoping for thats for sure

  5. Depends on what you were hoping for… if you wanted confrontation with cops you’re more than welcome to go and do that. It was just the opinion of some of the more experienced CMass riders that they wanted a nice bike ride and not a politically-driven hussle with cops. So some of us rode away and people just followed.

Would’ve been great to see a break-away group going and creating a protest! I might have even joined if I felt like it.

Critical Mass isn’t about having a few cyclists decide on what/where/how. If you wanna go somewhere and do whatever, go and do it and people who wanna do the same will follow. Simple.
