new weekday opening hours (and some personal venting)

Filed under: Uncategorized — schmadzie @ 7:00 pm

What a shit week. Probably the worst in my whole life I reckon, except when I thought my dad was going to die. Nick’s dad is sick, John’s knee is blown up, Dave has had a mental breakdown due to work overload. The pre gong ride rush has been overwhelming, especially with Dave and John off, and we made a few mistakes this week. I am not used to making mistakes. As well as all that, I am sick  , and have just broken up with Tiff, the woman who I thought was my soulmate. Can’t believe I made it through to friday, reallly . I know it’s not appropriate to bring this stuff up here, but it’s my bloody website! Anyway, a couple of pretty imprtant lessons learnt. Look after the ones you love, and , don’t work so hard. These are interrelated!

Anyway, this will explain why I would risk offending and inconveniencing you, our valuable “customers” (I hate that word), by no longer opening between 8 and 10am.

So, effective immediately, our trading ours will be

Mon – Fri  10am till 6:30pm  (tuesday night mechanic courses 6:30 – 9pm)

Thursday 10am – 8pm

Saturday 10am – 4pm

Sundays Gone riding!

  2. Adam, that’s such bad news. Take care of yourself, and hope Dave and John and Nick are OK. I’m sure we all don’t mind that you don’t open till 10.00

  3. Sorry to hear about your woes Mate, for what it’s worth your business is tremendously positive space, it’s not really my place to say, but let me know if you need someone to help out with anything even if it’s just manning the shop for a few hours on the weekend, I’d like to return the favour of the assistance you’ve given me with my biking semi-plans, JUs on that there is absolutely no rush at all on my singlespeed heh, take it easy dude, Benwah.

  8. Adam, I must say you were looking a bit shell shocked when I popped in the other day.

If you need a hand manning the spanners on Thurday night or Saturday I’d be happy to help.

    Cheers

  12. Hi Adam, Dave, Nick and John

Sorry to hear about your bad week – take comfort from the old saying about “that which doesn’t destroy us makes us stronger”. I’ve said it before, but if you guys ever need a hand, I’m just around the corner in Stanmore – and, in case I haven’t said it before, thanks for all the help and advice you gave me when I was assembling the Swift Folder, especially tracking down odd bits and pieces. Live long and prosper!
