Well, the cheeky picnic was a very chilled out arvo down at pyrmont park and we just wanted to say thanks to all who made it. Thanks to the ruby murray’s diner as well, food was great as usual.

Well done to all the organisers of the the bff related events as well, michele and the gang put a heap of work in to organise them all.

To all those who missed it here are some pics (care of sam)and you’ll just have to wait until next year. the bike blender cocktails get seriously strong when brian and marcelo get on the bar but it was an awesome afternoon with a very competitive game of soccer for some and a lot of lazing around for others. safe riding!

more great images at sydney cyclist. cool site to check out anyway.

Big Bike Love Begins!

Filed under: Events — nicholasb @ 2:47 pm

The Bike Film Fest is back. For 2008 there are a whole bunch of super cool satellite events happening as well starting this weekend. Have a look at the full program here.

Check out Road edge on Saturday night..

ROAD: EDGE

Quirky, edgy streetwear with an underground tribal twist, paraded to a funky soundtrack , and music by DJ Ollo. The free event will be held in May Lane, a renowned street graffiti gallery, with hand crafted designs by Flash, Cheeky Monkey, Skingrowsback and other designers.

The free party will run from 7pm to 10pm this Saturday, November 1, with a licensed bar open in the lane for one evening only. Road: Edge is a perfect opportunity to explore the heady mix of tribal fashion and to support the worthy cause of improving conditions for Sydney’s cyclists.

Then you’ve got a few days to recover before the opening of the exhibition that we’re hosting – The Mystery tour photo exhibition – which will be gracing the shop for November

Cheeky Trucker in Alaska..

Filed under: Events — nicholasb @ 9:19 am

Matt sent us a link to a slideshow of his trip..

Just wanted to thank you once again for recommending and building up my cherry red Surly LHT in early 2006. Here are some photos of our most recent bike tour across Alaska. The bike performanced brillantly fully loaded, yet again, including on the 1000km of dirt roads that we traveled on this tour. To date the only major change I have made (apart from maintainence and replacement parts) is changing out the stock saddle for a brooks.
